Welcome home Suzuha!

Please welcome the newest member of my doll crew, Suzuha!  As far as the resin goes, Suzuha is a Soom Faery Legend Idrial, standing 28cm tall in her human feet and 30cm tall if I can ever get the S-hook into her fairy legs.  Who she is, though, is an autumn fairy come all the way from Japan (her name means “bell-shaped or crumpled leaf”).  She marks several firsts for me: first limited edition doll (Idrial was only sold for a couple of weeks back at the end of October), first in this size range, and first body blushing (I usually don’t care enough to pay for it, but in this case it was the only way to get her wings painted). I still don’t feel like I’ve “caught” her with my camera, but here’s a taste (the hat was not meant to go over a wig, but she wanted to try it on anyway):

I put together a little homecoming photo story after the jump.  It was fun – it’s been a long time since I did any multi-doll “story” type photography, not since before I got both Edik and Posy.

Note that there is some dolly nudity, so the photo shoot’s not suitable for most workplaces.

The players: Posy, fairy goth girl; Edik, teen rocker; Vasilisa, single mom, mostly by choice; and Rada, Vasya’s adopted daughter (who doesn’t speak); and of course Idrial herself.

Hey guys!  I heard through the fae-vine that there’s a new mystical creature in town.  She’s arriving today!  We should bring out the welcome wagon for her, don’t you think?

She is!  I guess she stopped over in Korea.  I hear they give great manicures there; I can’t say I blame her.  Anyway, does it matter?  Let’s help her out!

She’s basically like a princess in the fairy world.  Look, she even has a pedigree.  Can you blame her for bringing a little luggage?  And if you’re so curious, why don’t you unwrap her things.  I’m sure she’ll be happy to have them ready.

Wow, okay, fairy wings are totally cool.  I can see why she’d want to bring these.

I understand completely, but when in Rome…besides, there are a bunch of things made specially for you.

I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to try on whatever has been prepared for me.

I do feel a draft back there…I think the torso is a bit long for me, but it will do if you insist on covering me.  What else have you got?

By all that is good in the world, how big did you think my feet would be?  I could fit three of my feet in here!
